Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok – A Spacious Stay for Families

Bangkok has an extraordinary choice of hotels, with no shortage of four- and five-star properties. Even so, having so many options does not always make choosing easier. I initially considered trying somewhere new, but eventually found myself drawn back to a hotel I already knew I could enjoy.

I first stayed at Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok last year, following a recommendation from a Korean resident in Bangkok. What surprised me then was just how spacious the accommodation was – and how well everything had been maintained.

The greatest appeal is that every room is a suite, with a separate living area that gives you room to settle in properly. It is a lovely arrangement for couples, but when traveling as a family, that additional space becomes even more valuable.

Location – Less Time in Traffic, More Time to Enjoy Bangkok

The hotel is within walking distance of Ratchadamri BTS station, making it convenient for reaching Bangkok’s major sights and the Sukhumvit area.

That proximity matters more than it might seem. Bangkok traffic can be challenging at the best of times, and on weekends or during rush hour, even a relatively short taxi journey can become unexpectedly slow.

For many journeys, the BTS is the most practical option. Being able to walk to the station makes getting around considerably easier – a convenience you appreciate all the more once you have spent time sitting in Bangkok traffic.

First Impressions – Familiar Dusit Hospitality

The property is operated by Dusit, a Thai hospitality group whose hotels I have also experienced at Dusit Princess Srinakarin in the Bang Na area and in Cebu.

Across those stays, I have come to appreciate the consistency of an established international hotel group. Here, check-in was quick, the staff were friendly, and the property gave an immediate impression of being well managed.

Another advantage is value. Despite being an established international hotel group, Dusit often offers more affordable rates than comparable Marriott or Hilton properties. That combination of reliable hospitality and relatively accessible pricing is part of what makes the brand appealing to me, particularly when planning a longer stay or traveling as a family.

The lobby is particularly striking. Its ceiling felt almost three stories high, creating a sense of scale that makes the entrance feel both grand and elegant. From the moment I stepped inside, it had the atmosphere I associate with a five-star hotel.

One-Bedroom Suite – A Living Room, a Kitchen, and Space to Settle In

The suites are the main reason I would recommend Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok for a family stay.

My one-bedroom suite had a generous living room with a sofa bed, along with a kitchen fitted with a sink. The kitchen was properly equipped for preparing meals, with an induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, and kitchen utensils.

This was more than a token kitchenette. It made the suite feel like somewhere you could comfortably settle in for a longer visit. I later learned that the property is also known among business travelers staying in the area for extended periods, which made perfect sense once I had seen the layout.

Both one- and two-bedroom suites are available. For a group of four or more, the two-bedroom option would be particularly appealing: it has two bathrooms, as well as a washing machine and dryer, making laundry much easier during a longer stay.

The bedroom in my suite was also wonderfully spacious, and the terrace offered a lovely view. Another thoughtful feature was the bathroom layout, which allowed access from both the living room and the bedroom.

Most toiletries came in large bottles, while the lotion was provided in a smaller travel-size container. They appeared to be the hotel’s own branded products and had a pleasant fragrance.

The in-room refreshments were another detail I appreciated: illy coffee and TWG tea. Small touches like these made the suite feel carefully considered.

For a family, the combination of a separate living room, a kitchen, and a spacious bedroom is difficult to overlook. I would lean toward a two-bedroom suite when traveling with four or more adults, especially for the convenience of two bathrooms. With a child, the one-bedroom layout would be my first choice.

The Pool – A Quiet Retreat Among the High-Rises

Surrounded by Bangkok’s tall buildings, the pool at Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok felt like a small oasis in the city.

Despite the number of rooms in the property, it was pleasantly uncrowded during my visit. I found myself wondering whether many guests had gone out to work, leaving the pool unusually peaceful.

Different varieties of trees surround the water, giving the space a leafy, almost woodland atmosphere. There is even an artificial waterfall, which adds to the feeling of being tucked away from the city.

It was an inviting place to slow down. For a hotel stay centered on rest and relaxation, this quiet pocket of greenery was a real pleasure.

Lunch at Dusit Gourmet – Thai Flavors and an Unexpected Favorite

Dusit Gourmet, the restaurant on the ground floor, is a convenient place for a relaxed lunch.

Since I was in Thailand, tom yum felt like an obvious choice. I ordered the tom yum noodles, with their aromatic mix of spices and the distinctive flavors that make this dish such a pleasure to eat.

A softly cooked onsen egg accompanied the noodles, making the dish substantial enough for a satisfying lunch.

We also ordered chicken tacos, which turned out to be another highlight. The creamy avocado was especially good, and they were the sort of dish I happily kept eating even after I was already feeling full.

Breakfast – À La Carte Dishes with a Semi-Buffet

reakfast is served in the same ground-floor restaurant, combining a semi-buffet with a selection of dishes prepared to order.

During my stay, with breakfast included, I could order the dishes I wanted from the à la carte menu. The choices included eggs Benedict, avocado toast, waffles, and a Japanese-style rice bowl, offering enough variety to make breakfast feel like a proper meal.

Even if breakfast were not included in my booking, I would still consider eating here. The individual dishes were substantial enough that a single order could make a satisfying breakfast.

My personal favorite was the avocado toast. The avocado was beautifully creamy, with a gentle hint of spice that made the dish particularly enjoyable.

The food would have worked just as well for brunch. In fact, I could easily imagine returning simply for a meal if I happened to be in the neighborhood.

Final Thoughts – A Hotel I Would Happily Return To

With so many five-star hotels in Bangkok, choosing where to stay can become a surprisingly difficult decision. Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok makes a persuasive case through the things that matter in everyday use: spacious accommodation, convenient BTS access, friendly service, and a breakfast I genuinely enjoyed.

The separate living room and well-equipped kitchen give the suites a comfortable, practical quality, while the peaceful pool provides somewhere to unwind between outings. The relatively accessible pricing adds to the appeal, especially when that extra space makes such a difference to the stay.

For couples who appreciate extra space, families traveling together, or anyone planning a longer stay, this is a hotel I would happily consider again. I returned because my first visit had left such a good impression – and the reasons I liked it were still very much there.
