The lobby immediately reflects what one would expect from a five-star Sheraton – a classic, well-balanced design with a sense of scale and presence.
It is important not to confuse this property with the nearby Four Points. Although both are in Bali, they operate on entirely different levels. Having stayed at both, the difference here is evident from the moment you arrive—from overall atmosphere to execution, the gap is unmistakable.
At Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, check-in takes place in a seated setting, which is relatively uncommon even among Sheraton properties. It creates a more composed and less transactional arrival experience. Stepping forward from the main lobby, the space opens up to reveal the pool and the ocean beyond, a view that immediately shifts your mood.

Room Experience — Ocean View Is Essential
As a Marriott Titanium Elite member, I was upgraded to a Deluxe King Ocean View Room.
In a destination like Bali, an ocean view is not just an option—it is part of the experience. Even at a slightly higher rate, having the sea visible from your room adds a level of value that is difficult to replicate elsewhere.
The room itself measures approximately 46㎡, noticeably spacious by Bali standards, and includes a terrace. Being able to sit outside with a coffee while looking out toward the ocean became one of the most memorable aspects of the stay. Over the course of 2 nights and 3 days, the property exceeded expectations in a way I had not anticipated.
The hotel originally opened in December 2012, so it is not new, but it has undergone renovation (reportedly during the COVID period), and the condition is now clean, well-maintained, and refreshed. Given its prime location and sustained popularity, it appears the hotel made a strategic decision to renovate while other properties were struggling—a choice that clearly paid off.
Infinity Pool — The Defining Feature
The infinity pool overlooking Kuta Beach was, without question, the space I enjoyed the most.
While not massive, it is sufficiently spacious and positioned perfectly toward the ocean, creating a calm, open atmosphere.

Before visiting, I had only heard briefly—from a relative living in Bali—that the breakfast here was good. In reality, it exceeded that expectation entirely.
The variety is extensive enough that one full round takes time, and even over multiple mornings, it is difficult to try everything. Returning the next day, I even discovered sections I had missed before.
The offering includes a wide range of Western and local options, presented with careful plating that feels visually refined. Even small details—like pancakes shaped into playful forms—add an extra layer of enjoyment.
More importantly, the staff were consistently warm and attentive. For a short 2-night stay, it felt surprisingly complete.

Among all factors, the biggest advantage is undeniably the location. Simply crossing the street brings you directly to Kuta Beach, making it especially appealing for travelers focused on surfing.
Compared with nearby properties like The Stones Hotel Legian, this level of direct access creates a clear distinction in usability and convenience.
Final Thoughts
If I had to summarize this hotel in practical terms:

- Room Condition: Clean and well-maintained
- F&B (especially breakfast): Strong
- Price: Around $200 per night, relatively reasonable for a 5-star property in this area
Even when compared with alternatives such as The Stones Hotel Legian, this property offers a more complete overall balance.
There are very few noticeable downsides, and in most travel scenarios, it is difficult to go wrong with this choice.
